Egg Free Condensed Milk Cake

An egg free cake made with condensed milk that's very easy to mix up and bake.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 (400gm) can condensed milk sweetened
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup butter melted (salted; if using unsalted , add 1/4 tsp salt)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate ganache (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Sift together the all purpose flour, baking powder, the baking soda and salt (if using) into a large bowl. In another bowl, mix together the condensed milk, orange juice, melted butter and vanilla extract till well blended.
  • Make a well in the centre of the flour and pour the blended wet ingredients. Mix well, using a spoon or a whisk (do not whisk the batter)
  • Pour the batter into a well greased and floured 9" cake tin or a bundt pan.
  • Bake at 180C (350F)for about 30 to 40 minutes or till a skewer inserted into the cake comes out clean. Cool the cake in the pan for about 15 minutes, remove from the pan and cool on a rack.
  • When the cake has cooled, spoon warm chocolate ganache over the cake and decorate with grated chocolate and silver dragees. Else serve the cake as it is, with coffee or tea.
