  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsps vanilla essence
  • 1 cup water hot
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar granulated
  • 100 gm butter , melted
  • 2 egg

  • Whisk together all the dry ingredients and set aside. Add all the wet ingredientsin the blender. Add all the wet ingredients except the eggs to the blender and blend till well mixed. Now blend in the eggs.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the blender and blend till just smooth. You might need to scrape down any flour that sticks to the sides of the blender jar. Do not over blend!
  • Pour the batter into a well greased and floured 8" bundt or tube cake pan and bake at 190C (375F) for about 40 minutes or done and a skewer comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack and serve, or decorate if you wish.
