Guava & Sweet Corn Salad

A simple, light and filling salad made with white guavas, sweet corn, pomegranate arils seasoned with lime juice, salt and pepper.

  • 2 cups large white guavas (about 4 cups chopped guava)
  • 1 cup frozen sweet corn
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed black pepper to taste


  • If you like, you can just cook the sweet corn in boiling salted water for about 2 to 3 minutes and the drain. Otherwise, thawed frozen sweet corn also works.
  • Put the chopped guavas, sweet corn, onion and pomegranate in a bowl. Add the lime juice, cumin powder, salt and pepper. Toss till well mixed. Serve immediately.
